The first step in your skincare routine is to use toners and water-based serums. The reason for using water-based serums and toners is these are formulated to penetrate your skin faster. The following skincare products that should be applied are your oil-based serums and thicker creams. There is a perfect reason to apply your skincare products in proper order. Using them by order of thickness ensures that each layer is adequately absorbed into your skin. This will give your skin the full effect of the nutrition that your skin needs that is lost throughout the day.

YOUR DAYTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE:

*Cleanser.

*Toner.

*Antioxidant Serum.

*Eye Cream.

*Spot Treatment.

*Moisturizer.

*Sunscreen.

MORNING SKINCARE.

CLEANSING:

You will want to cleanse your face gently in the morning with a gentle cleanser. This is very important because it will remove oils, sweat, and bacteria that may have accumulated while sleeping.

To maximize achieving the best results, the recommended amount of time to properly cleanse your face is about two minutes. You will gently massage your face by making small circle rotations; this will help stimulate circulation, which is what you want to promote healthy skin.

SKIN TYPES:

If you have combination or oily skin, the best cleanser for you to use is a gel-based cleanser. You will want to avoid the ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, and these ingredients can be too harsh for day-to-day use. If you have sensitive or dry, an oil-based or creamy cleanser will be best for you to use on a daily basis.

PROPER EXFOLIATION:

STEP TWO:

Proper Exfoliation is important to get rid of unwanted dead skin cells. You need to keep the skin clear so you won’t have to deal with buildup, which can result in breakouts if not kept clean. Exfoliation will help keep your skin rejuvenated.

HOW TO EXFOLIATE:

Perform Exfoliation two to three times a week. You do not want to do it more than three times a week because more than the required two times a week can cause damage to your skin. Use a gentle scrub or chemical exfoliant, preferably a mask containing Alpha hydroxy acids.

NEW TO EXFOLIATING:

I have never exfoliated your skin before; it is not as invasive as it sounds. You should start slowly and work your way up to multiple times weekly.

WARNING SIGNS:

Suppose you begin to notice signs of redness or flaking skin. In that case, you will want to stop the exfoliation process, and once your skin is no longer irritated, start the exfoliating process again but cut back on how many times a week you exfoliate.

STEP THREE:

TONER:

The benefits of using a toner will remove any cleansing products missed. The toner will also work to add balance to the skin’s natural pH making it ready for the following skincare routine. This will allow the next step of the product to be adequately absorbed.

APPLYING TONER:

You will want to use a reusable wipe or a round cotton pad for application. Gently wipe the product over your whole face; don’t forget to apply it over the neck area.

BENEFITS OF USING A TONER:

All skin types can benefit from a hydrating toner. When looking for a toner, it is best that the toner is alcohol-free or one that contains hydrating ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid. Toner works excellent to help prep the skin before your makeup.

STEP FOUR.

SERUMS:

The benefit of using serums is that they will provide active ingredients that will work to transform your skin.

APPLYING SERUM:

To achieve the best results from using a serum, apply the serum about thirty seconds after you have cleansed and applied your toner to your face.Make sure your skin is clear and clean, dry skin and allow each layer to be absorbed before applying the next. This will help stop buildup on the skin and waste of your product.

THE BENEFITS OF SERUMS:

The serum will help to repair, boost collagen synthesis, which will refresh the skin. The serums you choose to help hydrate your skin by selecting a hydrating serum, such as a pure hyaluronic acid, will benefit you.

STEP FIVE:

MOISTURIZER:

The benefit of using a moisturizer is critical for hydration for all skin types. When there is not enough moisture to your skin can cause exacerbate issues such as acne and inflammation and accelerate signs of premature aging. Hydrating your skin first thing in the morning will help protect it from the elements throughout the day.

APPLYING MOISTURIZER:

When applying your moisturizer, you will want to use a light layer of your moisturizer. This step comes after your serums to lock in all the layers of your skincare.

THE BENEFITS OF MOISTURIZER:

Even acne-prone or combination skin should still moisturize. It would be best if you used moisturizers labeled oil-free and non-comedogenic, as they are designed to hydrate the skin without clogging your pores.

STEP SIX:

SUN PROTECTION:

The benefits of using an SPF product are an essential step in any skincare routine. Sunscreens and other SPF products protect the skin against UV damage, which can cause hyperpigmentation, premature aging, inflammation, and an increased risk of skin cancer.

HOW TO APPLY:

Sunscreen application should be the last step in your morning skincare routine. When applying your sun protection, use a generous amount to cover your entire face and neck. Make sure you repeat the process of applying the sunscreen every two hours if you are out in the sun.

THE BENEFITS OF SUNSCREEN:

If you use exfoliating ingredients or retinol products, it is imperative to incorporate an SPF, as these ingredients can make skin sensitive to the sun.
